I’ll admit, I didn’t pay much attention to the clothes and
instead headed straight for the beauty section. I didn’t really know what I was
looking for but soon my eyes alighted on the neutral eye shadow section. Now, I
still love my Naked Palette, no doubt about that but I couldn’t resist and my
boyfriend can be a terrible enabler sometimes. This time it was due to his
place of birth, the Shetland Islands and Shetland Brown is the perfect neutral
brown colour. It works really well alone and with the Naked Palette. I don’t
remember what colours I’ve blended it with below, probably Naked through the
crease and Rimmel Scandaleyes in Bronze as a liner. This is what happens when I
forget to write these things down.
I can remember that I used Maybelline’s Colour Tattoo in
Tough as Taupe as a base and got hours and hours of wear out of it. Probably
close on 10 and even then, the crease marks could be perfectly blended out. The
packaging is high quality plastic and I’m just in love. A further shout out
to the cotton pads I bought because I’d run out there. I might never go to
Boots for them again. The woman who I spoke to was really helpful. She let me
swatch the much sought after Face Contour Cream that basically has been out of
stock since Vivianna Does Makeup mentioned it in her post. And I really liked
it. Bother.
If you find yourself on Regent Street, go and have a look.
You won’t regret it. I'm already itching to go back.
This post is going up on my birthday (woo, 20) and I'm going home for it and then to Edinburgh for a few days so blog posts might be a bit patchy for a bit. Sorry!
Shetland Brown Metallic Eye Shadow is £7 and the Cotton Pads
were £1. Both can be found in store and online.
